We are open from 8:00am to 6:00pm, 51 weeks a year.
In these crucial formative years we aim to develop children’s early knowledge, understanding and skills in ways that provide a sound basis for later education. Our daily routine follows a weekly prepared time table which includes activities such as messy play, construction, circle time, P.E., games, story time, topic related activities, pencil control, writing, language and literature, music and French to name a few (French and sports are provided by independent teachers).
To ensure we deliver the best in care, standards are continuously monitored and curricula are reviewed to incorporate the best of the many methods of teaching children including “desirable outcomes for learning” designed by the Schools Curriculum and Assessment Authority, “progressing towards the desirable learning outcomes” by OFSTED, “birth to three matters” by Sure start, the well known Montessori method of teaching and the latest Early Years Foundation Stage.
Good behaviour is fostered by a few well-defined rules taking into account a child’s age and stage of development.
All meals are prepared on the premises by our qualified cooks. A hot lunch is served with dessert and afternoon tea consists of fresh fruit with a variety of sandwiches/soup etc. Breakfast is also served as well as snacks and water / milk during the course of the day.
